Mose Drachman papers, 1888-1935 (bulk 1905-1925).

This collection relates primarily to the business interests of Mose Drachman in Tucson, Arizona between 1900 and 1935. The papers document his diverse business activities, which include coffee sales, real estate, laundries, mining, cattle , and management of the Public Utilities Consolidated Corporation receivership and various estates. The majority of the collection consists of correspondence from customers ordering coffee and the correspondence, abstracts of titles, deeds, agreements and other documents from various real estate companies. Records from the Public Utilities Corporation receivership relate chiefly to utility disputes in Nogales, Arizona and the Edwin R. Post receivership relates to the Santa Cruz Valley Farms irrigation project; this includes engineering reports on land, water and irrigation in the Valley, 1920-1927. A 110-page reminiscences gives family and local history. These reminiscences include stories about pioneers, celebrations, gamblers, schools, and Presidents visiting Tucson as well as many other topics.
